Perspectives of the Moon

Everyone on earth sees the same phases of the moon. People north and south of the equator see the moon’s current phase from different angles and time zones.

Some nights, the moon might look like a narrow crescent. On other nights, the moon likens a bright circle. And on other nights, you might not be able to see the moon at all. The different shapes of the Moon that we see at different times of the month are called the moon’s phases. Of course, the choice of the camera lens and tripod use adds more visual quality. And whatever you decide to include in the picture for a storyline is part of the creative process. Sharing and exchanging perspectives among moon gazers gives us all an extended communication and community. Where are you, and how does the moon look from your perspective this evening, this night, this early morning? Where? When? Seen by whom?

„Moon Gazers“ from all over the World share their Perspectives on the Moon. Thanks to Julian Barth. All Photos in this Gallery @Julian Barth.
